Newby Teabags
Newby Teas was started in the new millennium and set out to create a brand that would reintroduce a quality product into market so that tea enthusiasts could fall in love with tea all over again. Using only the first and second flush from the tea plant, harvested between March-July, ensures that only the finest product is being used.
Newby is a member of the Ethical Tea Partnership, a global, not for profit organisation committed to improving the lives and environment of tea workers throughout the world. Newby share the ETP’s aims of making tea production better, fairer and more environmentally sustainable.
Newby tea bags have been certified as being biodegradable, made from wood pulp and abaca. Our Silken Pyramid bags are made from corn starch.

Newby Earl Grey Tea bags
My favourite Earl Grey tea bags

Oriental Sencha: Light and refreshing
I've only ever had this tea whilst visiting museums in London, namely the Museum of London and most recently at the V&A.
I have searched supermarkets and specialist retailers but have only found 'Green Sencha.' To discover the 'Oriental ' variety online prompted this purchase. Light, delicate and refreshing, perfect for mid afternoon.
Next time I shall cross the river and purchase in person. -
