Lapsang Souchong China has a distinctively smoky aroma.
Not a flavoured tea, but because of the way it has been processed it has a flavour you would not mistaken for any other!
Black tea, selected and produced in Fukien Province in China.
Best enjoyed black.
Preparation: Use approximately 1 heaped teaspoon per cup. Pour over freshly boiled water and cover. Leave to stand for 4-5 minutes. Dispose of the used tea leaves.
Use with a tea strainer or tea pot to avoid the mess.

Best tea ever!
This must be the best tea ever! I discovered it in Vennels tea shop in Durham City and after having one pot a week - on rations therefore! - decided to ask them where they got it. And the rest is history. I love it and can now have it as often as I like. It has a marvellous flavour, smoky but not rough or harsh. Very, very soothing from the first until the last mouthful. Wonderful smell too, so that a cup of tea is really a whole sensory experience.
Excellent service from Pumphreys, although the website is a bit awkward. I love the way the tea comes in a gold sealed bag, labelled with my own name. Small touch but very nice. Very well packaged for both transpoty and then flavour retention. If this tea doesn't have you buying a strainer, pot and elegant cup at the very least I would be stunned. Do try it - it's a life changing experience for a tea lover.
