Roasted Figs are used as an ingredient as a coffee substitute or a roast coffee additive, enhancing both flavour and texture.Known as "Viennese Coffee," a blend of fig coffee and traditional roast coffee originated in southern Germany in the late 19th century. Due to their high sugar content, roasted figs offer a unique taste—naturally sweet yet slightly bitter from caramelisation. Adding around 15% fig coffee to regular coffee results in a thicker, subtly sweet brew, making it a popular choice for those seeking a rich, flavourful alternative.

Ground roasted fig
Love this in with my cafetiere coffee. It really gives it a rich sweetness. Very good quality and I bought the 1kg bag as it is used daily. Always kept in an airtight container in the cupboard for freshness. Delivery was quick too as I placed my order online.

Delicious
I love figs in coffee - makes the coffee slightly sweeter and nuttier. Really hard to find them anywhere so I was delighted to find them here.

Fig
I have had to give up coffee and double cream, which I loved more than it loved me, so in looking for an alternative found this. I drink it on its own with butter and a bit of allulose to sweeten and it is an acceptable replacement. I am pleased I found it.

Fig seeds - Roasted and ground.
My father used to buy Blue Danube coffee, now sadly unavailable that had an amazing flavour, which derived from the figs included in the mix. It is the flavour you get when abroad in Austria.
This has enabled me to recreate that flavour.
