Tanzania Mbili Twiga is a blend of washed coffee from farmers in Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions, the name translates as two giraffes and was given to signify the coming together of coffees from the Karutu estate and the Makiidi RCS cooperative. It is a combination of coffee from small holders growing on half a hectare making up 90% and 110 estates growing the remaining 10%. Cherries are picked and brought whole to the processing station where they are washed and then undergo a fermentation for 32-40 hours before more washing and soaking, the beans are then dried on raised beds.
