Agahore is both a wet mill and farm located in the Gaterama village. The washing stations buy coffee from producers surrounding each station as well as producing their own on a shared farm. Separation and filtration systems are installed to clean the Mubarazi river water which is used for processing the washed coffee. Cherries are picked and brought straight to the washing station where they undergo a 10 hour dry fermentation followed by a 12 hour wet fermentation in filtered water before being washed and soaked for a further 10 hour. Parchment coffee is then dried on raised beds for 2-3 weeks with 2 days shaded and the coffee covered from the mid-day sun for the rest.
