Pumphreys 1750 Blend is one of our oldest blends.
Pumphreys 1750 Blend is a mixture which was discovered in old blending records which were unearthed when Pumphreys moved out of the Newcastle Cloth market to their new premises at Blaydon.
Our assumption is that this blend must have been enjoyed by generations of North East coffee lovers over the years. Although the exact blend is hard to recreate as coffee production has changed significantly over the years we feel we have captured a taste of the past with our special 1750 blend. Smooth, full bodied and mellow.

This is a rich smooth coffee to drink anytime, not a hint of bitterness at all. I would recommend it unconditionally.

This is, without contest, our favourite coffee. While we enjoy trying all of the different single varieties this blend is delicious. Rather than attempt to describe its flavour I will just say that it is deeply satisfying.

Good alrounder
I like my coffee bright and not too strong, my husband prefers a stronger brew with malt and chocolate flavours. So it’s difficult to find a blend we both like, but the 1750 somehow managed to bridge our very different tastes !

I come back to this blend time and again, it’s taste is superb and the gorgeous smell fills the house when I’m making coffee. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a middle of the road coffee.
