Pumphrey's Special Blend

I have bought many different coffees in the past for my husband who's a coffee connoisseur ;) most of which have been great but not all. We tried Pumphreys Special Blend during a recent pub lunch in Northumberland and loved it!! I checked out the website and ordered a huge bag o'beans the minute we got home and don't think we'll ever change.

Have been using Pumphrey's special blend for several years since we first tasted it in a Farm shop cafe in Northumberland. When looking round the farm shop afterwards, we found this on sale and bought two packets. It tasted just as good when we percolated this at home. It is a fine taste slightly stronger than some of the products sold as strength 3 but not as harsh as some sold at Strength 4 or 5.

Having encountered this coffee several years ago, we have continued to enjoy the smooth blend and fine aroma. It is not too strong nor too mild - so guess it is about a 4 on the usual scale. Our guests are always pleased to be served with a cup after a meal.
