The full bodied Daterra Sunrise Coffee with hazelnut undertones
Daterra is a Brazilian coffee grower and exporter best known for its innovative research, respect for the environment and its high quality coffee in the coffee industry.
The Daterra farm in Brazil was established in 1976. It was founded by a passion to create a sustainable development that would not only produce great coffee, but also support the local people and protect the Cerrado Biome, which comprises of 23% of the entire country. Daterra has a literal meaning ‘from the earth’, which acts as a constant reminder to the farm to protect the surrounding areas as they expand and diversify their offerings.
Brazil Daterra coffee is part of Daterra’s ‘classics’ range. It is a true representative of Cerrado coffee, with the benefit of Daterra quality.
Taste
The coffee for every occasion. Sunrise displays a deep nutty flavour that is clean and crisp with strong aromas. Sweet, round, with an exciting aftertaste. Perfectly named for its sweet-tones and citrus-like aromatics. As the cup is explored, notes of yellow fruits, milk chocolate and pecan nuts are revealed. Soft sweet citric acidity and a lightly syrupy body, create depth and sweetness while the finish rolls gently on the palate.
Origin
Plantations are located in the Cerrado region (State of Minas Gerais) and in the Mogiana region (State of São Paulo).
Daterra figures:
-3.250 hectares of preservation land;
-150.000 native trees planted;
-14.000 tons of organic composting and over 15.000.000 of coffee trees.
Plantations
Daterra’s plantations are located at an average altitude of 3,800 ft (1,150 m) under a stable temperature of around 70ºF (25ºC), which constitutes the perfect environment for Arabica Coffee production. Furthermore, the dry season during the harvest makes this region unique for the best Arabica coffees. This plantation system ensures accurate monitoring and constant traceability of each quadra's historic track of rainfall, cultivation procedures and productivity.
The Cerrado Region
The Cerrado region is a scientifically important area as it has a vast tropical expanse, with great swathes of flora and fauna that are unique to this biologically diverse area. It is thought that this region has over 4800 different species of plants and animals that are not found anywhere else in the world. Located in the highlands of central Brazil, its vastness is equivalent to the size of Germany, France, England, Italy, and Spain all combined.

Recommended preparation
We love using Daterra coffee through our espresso machine and regularly recommend it to our trade customers. We even use it as our house coffee in our showroom and also at our brewing emporium in Newcastle city centre. Although lighter than some traditional espresso roasts, the versatility of this coffee means that it tastes delicious black or velvety smooth with milk. A full well rounded flavour loved by all of our regular customers.
Heritage
Daterra uses the slogan and maintains the philosophy of ‘Growing Relationship Coffee’.
This comes from the belief that their relationship with the soil, the water, workers, community and everything that surrounds them is just as important as the coffee that they sell an their customers from around the world.

Darterra Sunrise
This is our regular Bean order for our daily mid morning coffee. 1Kg Split into smaller quantities With air squeezed out then frozen to keep fresh( bag in bag). Always very fresh and never disappoints. We do buy other beans and have the monthly subscription but will continue to buy this as we like it.

Daterra Sunrise
I have tried many types, but I keep getting back to this one. Best ever coffee with a slight taste of nuts, not at all acidic or bitter.

Medium beans
Not a lot of taste and a bit bitter, which is a pity because I rated it highly a couple of years ago when I received some as a 'coffee of the month'.
Tastes OK though if made strong. -
A very good coffee. We also take out to Spain with us

Perfect everyday
I've used daterra sunrise now for nearly 4 years, and I cant use any other coffee now.
I've used it in my sage home machine, an Italian stove top, a cafetiere, an aeropress and a drip pot, all brew very well.
If you want an easy going coffee that won't leave a bitter taste this is the one... get it!!
