Gea, named after the Greek Goddess Gaia is a tribute to Mother Earth and the women who tend to her. The esporter Becamo collaborates with over 400 women producers all across Honduras. They have shown their ability to take a rough patch of land and turn it into a successful coffee farm by planting timber and fruit alongside coffeee crops, to increase shade and soil moisture and encourage microclimates that bring the quality to the cup. This single origin Honduras Coffee has been grown strictly at a high altitude (SHG), this combined with a lower temperature produces a slower maturing fruit and a denser bean which results in a sweeter tasting coffee. European preparation specifies that the raw beans are all hand sorted to remove any defective beans or foreign material.
